Obama sells access to White House
It was revealed that for a 500,000 contribution to Obama's PAC, Organizing for Action, people could have access to the White House and could be part of quarterly meetings with the President. This from a man who long critisized this practice and said: "The cynics, and the lobbyists, and the special interests who've turned our government into a game only they can afford to play. They write the checks and you get stuck with the bills, they get the access while you get to write a letter, they think they own this government, but we're here today to take it back."
Obama Administration lets thousands of illegal criminals go free
Even before sequestration hits, the administration has been releasing hundreds of illegal aliens scheduled for deportation, jeopardizing public safety in a demagogic attempt to scare us into not cutting spending.

Former Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel, who has been an outspoken critic of Israel, was confirmed by the Senate.

Americans for Prosperity releases legislative scorecard
The conservative group ranked legislators based upon their votes for economic freedom. Senator Marco Rubio was the only Senator in the entire Senate to recieve a 100% score. Liberal democrat Senator Bill Nelson received an 11%. Others of note, Congressman Dennis Ross was the only Florida Congressman to receive a 100%. Former Congressman and Republican senate candidate Connie Mack recieved a 95% and our former Congressman Cliff Stearns recieved a 91%. The super-liberal windbag and Obama cheerleader Debbie Wasserman Schultz recieved a 5%

Work Plan Florida Agenda Announced in the Legislature
Senate President Don Gaetz (R-Niceville) and House Speaker Will Weatherford (R-Wesley Chapel) have joined together to announce a joint legislative agenda, "Work Plan Florida," which includes priorities for the 2013 Legislative Session. The agenda includes bold steps to tackle ethics and campaign finance reform, fiscally responsible changes to Florida’s public sector pension plans, innovations in Florida's higher education system and a review of Florida election laws.

Gilchrist County well represented at State Fair
Congratulations are in order for some outstanding achievements by some of our High School Students at the Florida State Fair. Kaylee Crawford's steer was crowned Grand Champion. Kaylee is a senior at Trenton High School. Kacee Langford of Trenton High School won first place in Senior Showmanship and Cody Norton of Trenton won 3rd Place in the Senior Showmanship. Congratulations to these three students for your achievements at the State Fair and thank you for representing Gilchrist County so well.
